Why Nature Lab?
Hi there, I’m April Maura, and I’m thrilled to take you on a journeyโa journey that led me to create Little Leaders Academy, my very own Nature-Based Microschool.
Just like many parents out there, I felt frustrated with the limitations of the traditional school system. I couldn’t find an educational environment that truly aligned with my values and the vision I had for my children’s learning. I knew there had to be a better way.
I had a dream of crafting a learning journey that nurtured the whole childโmind, body, emotions, and relationshipsโbeyond just academics. I envisioned a place where children could embrace a growth mindset, develop an entrepreneurial spirit, and explore a vast array of learning approaches.
Driven by these values and a burning desire to make a difference, I gave birth to Little Leaders Academy. And within just two months of officially opening, my enrollment was full. Not only did I find fulfillment in working from home, but I also rediscovered myself and my true purpose.
