Welcome to Little Leaders Academy’s Daily Rhythm for the 2024/25 School Year:
8:00—8:30am: Arrival: Free Play Outside As learners arrive, they are greeted with the freedom to explore and play in our outdoor space, setting the tone for a day of adventure and discovery.
8:30-9:30am: Morning Gathering Our day begins and ends with a sense of community as students come together to share, connect, and support one another. We start with breathing exercises, affirmations, and yoga, followed by story time and practicing our songs.
9:30 to 10:30am: Focused Subject Work Engage in STEM, Reading, Math, Social Studies, Geography, Art, and Writing, diving deep into topics of interest and curiosity.
10:30 to 11:00am: Brain Break: A chance for learners to recharge and refocus, stretching their bodies and minds with movement and exploration.
11:00am to 12:00pm: Focused Subject Work Continue delving into subjects and projects, applying critical thinking and creativity to further understanding.
12:00pm to 12:45pm: Lunch and Free Play Enjoy lunchtime activities such as listening to music, teacher read-alouds, or group conversations, followed by free play to foster imagination and social interaction.
12:45-1:00pm: Meditation and Quiet Time A moment of calm reflection and relaxation to center ourselves for the rest of the day.
1:00 to 2:30pm: Dedicated Outdoor Time or Rest Time Explore our outdoor environment, engage in hands-on activities at the Maker station, tend to our garden, or enjoy literature resources. Preschoolers have rest time to recharge.
1:45pm to 2:45pm: Individual Project-Based Work (for older kids) Dive into self-directed projects, applying skills and knowledge in pursuit of personal goals and passions.
2:45pm to 3:00pm: Community Clean Up + Closing Circle Come together as a community to tidy our space and reflect on the day’s accomplishments, challenges, and moments of growth.
3:00pm: Pick Up As the day comes to a close, families reunite, carrying with them the memories and lessons of another enriching day at Little Leaders Academy.
